darling loves combining three complementary fabrics together and this dress was no exception for her. using the same beautiful french peacock print as her cream mash-up version, this luxe beauty instead has a pale aqua background. a mediterranean tile print contrast from the same fabric print family adds a cohesive contrast and a well-aged designer cheetah print from nearly 30 years ago adds drama.

what was this lovely animal print in it's former life? a much loved and laundered american designer bed sheet! darling adores recycling and re-purposing old bed linens for her new garment design and slow-fashion construction. the softness of this particular fabric, used on the exterior collar, inside arm and interior skirt bands, has come from authentic aging and feels incredibly wonderful and velvety against the skin.

and oh, nelly, the history within this particular dress has now been imbued with!
